The Tarradale Team
The Management team consists of Dr Eric Grant, chair and prime mover of the project.
The rest of the team is Anne Coombs vice chair, Tim Blackie, Jonathan Wordsworth and John Wombell. This part of the team is supported by Roland Spencer-Jones, chair of NOSAS.
We have appointed a number of professionals to run various parts of the project.
In 2019 Steve Birch of West Coast Archaeological Services directed the excavation of the Barrow Cemetery. Many will know Steve from the 2017 TTT excavations, as well as the Rosemarkie Caves Project and Cromarty Medieval Burgh. Consulting on the excavation will also be Gordon Noble and the University of Aberdeen.
Lachlan McKeggie, HAS, is our Outreach Coordinator. Some of you will know Lachlan from the Kirkmichael dig but he has been involved in outreach before and as a ‘local boy’ has local knowledge of the schools and clubs around Tarradale and the Black Isle.
James McComas is our IT guru and runs the TTT website, Facebook and Twitter accounts. Lachlan and James have been appointed for the full 3 years of the project as has Alex Gallacher who is our essential Admin Assistant and deals with the numbers.
If you come to any of the Open Days you will meet members of the team who will explain what we are doing and what we have found however if you are not able to come to these days you can keep up with our progress via the website, Facebook and Twitter.
