Barrow Cemetery Excavations 2019
Tarradale Through Time will undertake excavations at the Barrow Cemetery from Saturday 31 August until Sunday 15th September.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
As many of you are aware we will be excavating the ‘Pictish’ cemetery. Steve Birch is our appointed supervisor this year in partnership with Gordon Noble, Aberdeen University.
This year we will need a wide range of people, lots of diggers but also people who are willing to do non digging jobs such as surveying with our new resistivity unit and other survey work. As we will be launching our Tarradale Challenges just before the start of the dig we will have space for people to do art at the dig and ideally we will need people to oversee this area. We might even have some finds!
